Headquartered in Chaska, Minnesota, Smith Engineering provides water treatment services, together with filtration, UV, reverse osmosis, and deionization, for the biotech/pharmaceutical, data centre, food and beverage, healthcare, medical device and microelectronics markets. The company has greater than 1,200 clients in North America.
Evoqua says that the acquisition will enhance its portfolio of high purity water treatment techniques and increase its service footprint in North America.
“Smith Engineering has built a strong reputation as a trusted partner, providing dependable high purity water solutions and services to their broad customer portfolio,” stated Ron Keating, Evoqua’s CEO. “This addition will further strengthen our service footprint in North America, enabling us to better serve our clients.”
When the deal closes, the Smith Engineering business might be part of Evoqua’s Integrated Solutions and Services phase.
