Police were shocked after they searched the “ambassadorial residence” of the faux Chinese diplomat with a false ID card collared in his pretend consulate yesterday.
As Savings seize assets of Chinese gangs working in Thailand, the arrest of a middle-aged businessman in the coronary heart of town would hardly make the headlines. Except this businessman is accustomed to being transported around central Bangkok in what appears to be a pretend embassy limousine, full with dinky little flags on the bonnet, and a police escort.
During his arrest on Wednesday, police found the limousine alongside a BMW bike made up to seem like an official police escort.
The incredible discoveries continued throughout a search of Shao’s rented office, splendidly carried out out in what one might call “diplomatic style.”
On show in a glass case within the office is Shao’s delight and joy: a full-dress uniform of the Thai navy with a badge showing his identify, and an impressive array of medals, perhaps for fraud above and past the decision of obligation. There isn’t any proof that Shao, if that’s his title, has ever served within the Thai, or another, military.
Pol Maj Gen Phanthana Nuchanart, the deputy commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, led the search of Shao’s residence in Lam Luk Ka district, Pathum Thani, on Thursday evening.
Phanthana mentioned that before the search had even begun, police stopped a pickup truck leaving the mansion’s grounds with two males on board, a Thai and a foreigner, together with forty bottles of contraband booze. The liquor, no much less than, appears to be real.
The “ambassador’s” compound has 4 buildings – all of which seem to be real – and a pretend bullet prepare. No diplomatic residence feels truly actual without one.
Despite virtually nothing linked to Shao Xiaobo being genuine, it is not clear precisely what offences he has committed.
So far, he has been charged only with making a false statement to acquire a Thai ID card. It was reported that he holds Chinese and Vanuatu passports..
